Even though we all know that Motorola's DroidRAZR is one of the first devices in-line to get upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, it seems that the famously known Android developer "DroidTh3ory" just couldn't hold it. He already figured out a way to get Ice Cream Sandwichworking on his RAZR, and even thought the performance is anything but stable, it's now a work in progress that should be done soon. The ROM is currently still not public. We're not sure how long it'll take either DroidTh3ory or Motorola to push the update, but let's hope they do a race for it. As you can see in the following video, lot's of things don't really work well, like for example the responsiveness of the Touch Screen. Let's hope things continue advancing for all of those interested soon.

It seems that a new bug discovered on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango will allow users to crash your Messaging Hub if they send you an SMS from another Windows Phone, and by including a specific string of text within the message. Since the Messaging Hub also compiles chats fromWindows Live Messenger and even Facebook Chat, this bug could also be triggered by any of these messaging services as long as the adequate string of text is used. According to the source: The flaw works simply by sending an SMS to a Windows Phone user. If the SMS contains a particular string of text then Windows Phone 7.5 devices will reboot and the messaging hub will not open despite repeat attempts. We have tested the attack on a range of Windows Phone devices, including HTC’s TITAN and Samsung’s Focus Flash. The attack is not device specific and appears to be an issue with the waythe Windows Phone messaging hub handles particular characters. The bug is also triggered if a user sends a Facebook chat message or Windows Live Messenger message to a recipient. This goes as bad as to even having your phone crash over a friend posting this string of text on their Facebook page if you've created a Live Tile for that specific friend. We haven't personally tested this, since we obviously don't want any of our Windows Phones to become unusable, but leave ac moment down bellow if you're experiencing this problem.

Latin American readers have begun to confirm reports all around of Apple's iTunes Store now selling music in their respective countries. In the past, being able to buy music or movies fromiTunes was something that only US customers could do, a long with a small minority of foreign countries. So far, readers from the Peru, Dominican Republic, Chile, Panama, Venezuela, Argentina, and Ecuador have confirmed that the service is working for them. I currently live in Honduras and as you can see by the screenshot, the service is also now selling music and movies here too. Not sure what took them so long, but it's great to see that they finally figured out a way to get Record Companies and Movie Studios to allow them to sell their content across borders. Hopefully this will also be the case for other Apple services that are currently limited for US customers too, like let's say, Siri anyone? So far, the renders and candid pictures we've seen of potential next-generation BlackBerry hardware have been a departure from what we've come to expect from RIM. We heard that BBX – recentlyrenamed as BlackBerry 10 – would feature deviceskeeping the BlackBerry PlayBook's aspect ratio and display resolution, a direction that makes having traditional BlackBerry designs withhardware keyboards tricky, to say the least. We didn't want to think that RIM would abandon such an important feature to its brand, and now we're seeing the first sign that it might not do anything so harsh, with the reveal of a device render combining the widescreen PlayBook-style display with a hardware keyboard. We're supposedly looking at the BlackBerry Milan, a moniker already mentioned in a list of potential device codenames. Like the Dell Venue Pro, the portrait-mode sliding QWERTY keyboard makes for a very tall handset when extended; that sense of odd proportions is even more pronounced here, thanks to a 16:9 screen. There's more of the angled-corners design we first got hints of in the 9981, and really saw later in pics of the so-called London, but only on the phone's bottom edge. Yesterday we heard some rumors aboutforthcoming changes to Facebook's app for Android devices. Today, the site has announced the new version, with an updated user interface and enhanced photo support. While the app's not in the Android market just yet, according to Facebook it should be there quite soon. The company's statement hasn't confirmed everything we'd heard about these potential changes, like the possibility of an external app for doing check-ins, but those absent details should reveal themselves once the app hits the Market. The big change with this release is in menu structure and organization. If you were ever frustrated by how clumsy navigation through the existing app felt, the new menu bar may this updated app's saving grace. Access to all the major areas of the app is available through this left-hand menu bar. Reorganization also visits the app's notification system, moving those alerts and new messages up to the top of the screen. An overhaul to the app's photo features results in what's supposed to be a much faster, quicker-to-navigate experience. Enhancements to photo controls should also make tagging, editing, and checking out comments more convenient than ever. Look for the new Facebook for Android to arrive at the Android Market any moment now; hopefully we'll see it by the end of the day.
