HTC Raider 4G LTE Gets Canadian Carrier, Pricing Info

HTC announced its Raider 4G last month, the phone we'd been following for some time as the HTC Holiday. We knew it would be coming to South Korea first, with a global distribution in the works. Back then it looked very likely that in Canada the phone would be finding a home with Bell, which has now been confirmed in advertisements. Today, plans for its debut on Rogers' LTE network have also been tipped-off.

On Bell, you'll be able to pick up the Raider 4G for about $170 on one of Canada's typical three-year contracts. If you'd just prefer the phone free-and-clear, you'll pay nearly $500. The same off-contract pricing hasn't been revealed for Rogers, but its three-year contract price will supposedly be a little cheaper at $150; sales may be starting as soon as November 1.

The Raider 4G runs a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, much like other "superphones" that are just now arriving. It has a 4.5-inch qHD display, gigabyte of RAM, and eight-megapixel main camera with 1.3-megapixel front-facer. There's been no official announcement, but it looks likely that the phone will be among the first LTE models to be available on AT&T.
