Samsung Claims One Million Galaxy S II Sales in Korea

The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S II had a great start: more than 200,000 units pre-ordered in the week prior to the Korean launch, actual sales of more than 120,000 in three days and more than 3,000,000 units pre-ordered by carriers.

Recently Samsung is claiming that it sold more than 1,000,000 units on its home market. Given the launch was 30 days ago, that's an average of more than 30,000 per day. And the current Galaxy S II numbers seem to be crushing the previous record of the Galaxy S which sold 1,000,000 in a little more than two months from its launch. Samsung's Galaxy S II is featured on the three Korean carriers, SK Telecom, KT and LG U+. Now we're waiting for the international numbers!

Google Rolling Out Revamped Mobile Site on Apple iPhone?

Google has recently updated the dedicated iPhone Search App bringing speed, aspect and usability improvements but it appears that the mobile website, while accessed from the iPhone, is starting to look different.

If you take a look at the screenshots above and below you will see a row of dedicated icons that act as shortcuts to Google's various offerings. Google, Images, Places and News act as tabs but pressing the More button reveals additional shortcuts to other services of El Goog's, in addition to options the user can choose as per where to exactly conduct the search -- or which search results to display, to be more specific. Check one more screenshot out at the source link and if you met the new interface, let us know in the comments!

If you use Google's Android Market on the web for application discovery and even installation, you'll be glad to find out Google made some improvements to the application screenshot view controls.

Clicking on a certain screenshot image in an application page will open up that specific picture and display the controls above it. You can not only go back and forth to the previous and next images in cue but you can also use the rotation controls to manipulate how the images are displayed. The Close button has gone and all you have to do to exit the screenshot display view is to click away from the image.
