Motorola Droid 3 Rumored Specs: Dual-Core, qHD, No LTE, June

The Motorola Droid 3, follow-up to the popular Droid 2, first surfaced in March with a couple of pictures --including the above -- got its Bluetooth certification while dubbed as the Solana, and more recentlyappeared in Best Buy's system alongside the Droid X2 which is now out an launched. Not much is known in terms of specs though but, thanks to a recent NenaMark sighting, we know that the Droid 3 is powered by a 1GHz processor (probably a dual-core Texas Instruments) and PowerVR SGX540 GPU with confirmed qHD (960x540) screen of around four inches in diagonal.

An anonymous TechnoBuffalo tipster confirmed the four-inch qHD screen as well as a dedicated fifth row of keys on the keyboard -- which you could already see in the picture above. In terms of CPU, a dual-core processor is also confirmed -- either Texas Instruments or nVidia Tegra 2 but we tend to lean towards the first -- in addition to a dedicated HDMI-out port. Eight-megapixel main camera as well as a front facing webcam are also in the package but surprisingly the smartphone is rumored to lack LTE-support. Same rumors indicate a June release on Verizon but not pricing has been mentioned.
