Five Userland Exploits Found In A5 Chip, Hail iPhone 5 Jailbreak!

Apple is using its latest-generation A5 chip in the iPad 2 and chances are excellent the chip will be used in the upcoming iPhone 5. Chronic Dev Team's p0sixninja said, at jailbreaking convention MyGreatFest, that five exploits have been discovered for the A5 chip.

Why is this an extraordinary piece of information? Since there are several exploits, and all of them seem to be low level bootrom userland exploits, jailbreaking A5-chip enabled devices will be achievable, as in untethered jailbreaking. "It's the record breaking number of exploits found", added p0sixninja, and he was right to be enthusiastic since all A5-chip enabled devices (hopefully the iPhone 5 too) will be jailbreak-able for life, and this, even before it is born, so to speak.

Everything looks good in theory but the exploits need to be tested on a real-life iPhone 5 (which will be out soon, and hopefully with the A5 chip). If everything works out according to plan, we'll witness "the most amazing jailbreak yet", according to p0sixninja.
