New Angry Birds Rio Levels Hit Android Market This Friday

Angry Birds fans got their first new set of levels for Angry Birds Rio last week, or at least some of them did. Rovio updated the app for the iPhone, as well as the Android app as distributed through Amazon's Appstore, but gamers who got their copy of the game through the Android Market were left hanging. Now Rovio's updated fans, tweeting that the new levels will arrive in the Android Market this Friday.

Beach Volley adds 30 new boards to the game, following the birds as they make their way from their warehouse prison, to the jungles of the Amazon, and now to the sunny beaches of Brazil's coast. After you master this set of levels, Rovio's got additional updates planned for May, July, October, and finally November, each bringing an additional level pack.

We wouldn't be surprised to see this one-week-off release-staggering between when the Amazon Appstore and Android Market get future new content, as seems to be the consequence of an arrangement betweenRovio and Amazon; besides the exclusivity when the app first launched, no details of the deal have been made public.
