The Korean giant is starting to roll out the upgrades for all its Galaxy smartphones and for the Galaxy Tab.
After a false start that saw the upgrades to Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the Samsung Galaxy S and, few weeks later, for the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab blocked for some software issue, Samsung officially announces that the updates are now starting to roll out and will be available for the whole Galaxy line-up, even for the low-end smartphones.
In fact, besides the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, also the Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Gio, Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Mini will all receive the new Gingerbread firmware.

Galaxy S users in the UK and Nordic countries are already starting to receive the update via KIES, while other European markets, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and rest of the world will follow according to the regional plan.
The upgrade will bring faster performance with lower CPU consumption rate on multimedia content and support for more powerful 3D Graphics, and upgraded usability with improved user interface, faster access and control and a more intuitive user experience in addition to an improved copy-paste functionality.
