Telus Cuts iPhone 4 to $99, Androids Go Free; Fall Preparations?

Whether carriers want to accept it or not, it's likely that they know enough about the iPhone 5 launch to prepare by disposing old units before the new release comes to town. Canadian Carrier Telus has just lowered the price of its entry-level 16GB iPhone 4 to just $99 and the promotion even extends to include all their Android phones for free. All this just points out to them preparing for a big hit coming with the next generation devices being released in the fall, which include the most anticipated iPhone 5. The deal ends on September 7th, so you might as well hurry up if you live in Canada.

They're offering the lG Optimus Back And the Nexus S White for free after a $51 plan and the usual and crazy three-year Canadian contract. The deal also includes the INQ Cloud Touch, HTC Status and Motorola Defy after a crazy three-year agreement. Given the iPhone 4 is the only device they're not offering for free, it sounds logical that they're already having low inventories as Apple prepares for the next best thing.
