Apple's iCloud To Mirror Your iTunes Library?

We've been hearing about Apple's iCloud -- and hopefully the retail team will head about it tomorrow too -- service but rumors aside nobody seems to know exactly how it will work or when it will be launched. 

According to Bloomberg, Apple's iCloud offering could debut as soon as June 6 with the occasion of the upcoming WWDC. Citing three people "briefed on the talks", Apple will reportedly be able to scan your iTunes library and mirror it to the cloud. 

If, somehow, the quality of your copy for a certain song is not good enough, Apple could allegedly replace it with a better sounding one. From there on you'd be able to stream it to your computer, iPhone and iPad. How much the service will exactly cost is a mystery but it might be bundled with Apple's MobileMe offering for $99/year where you could sync your music to the cloud in addition to your pictures, documents, contact and so on. "Users will be able to store their entire music collections in the cloud—even if they obtained some songs illegally. That would finally give the labels a way to claw out some money on pirated music", speculates Bloomberg.
