Motorola Droid Bionic Shows Up On NenaMark

NenaMark -- an Android benchmark for hardware accelerated graphics -- is hard at work giving us juicy details about upcoming smartphones -- as it had in the past with the Motorola Droid X2, the Sony Ericsson Azusa and the Verizon Motorola Droid 3.

A Verizon-branded Droid Bionic made by Motorola just showed up on the benchmark page and we sure hope it's the new Droid Bionic and not the one spotted and showed off at CES. Specs-wise, it seems to feature the same (important) internals like the Droid 3: it appears to run a 1GHz processor (probably a dual-core Texas Instruments) and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. Additionally, there's a qHD resolution screen on the device.

Even more, the smartphone appears to be running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread which is rather unusual for a pre-production device or a prototype -- leading us to believing the Droid Bionic is either nearing its launch or will be very similar to the Droid 3. Judging by the scores though, we can scratch the first theory because the ROM seems to be far from polished hitting 24.00(min) 24.00(avg) 24.00(max).
