ZTE to bring their Windows Phones to Europe and USA

The Chinese manufacturer confirms their phones will be global and available from Q3.

ZTE, Chinese giant of handsets and networking devices, is one of the three new manufacturers to partner with Microsoft and committed to release at least a Mango running Windows Phone before the end of the year. Now Jeffrey Fan, vice-president of ZTE’s terminal devices unit, told Reuters that their upcoming Windows Phones will hit Europe already in the Summer.

But there’s more than that. In fact ZTE’s US CEO Cheng Lixin affirms that American carriers expressed interest in their forthcoming smartphones and that they are ready to launch some Mango device in the USA in early 2012.
So, not only China and the emerging Asian countries in ZTE’s target, but a real global strategy to ship more than 80 million handsets this year, up by a third from last year’s 60 million units.
