Refund Timer Reminds You When Your Trial Window Runs Out

Refund Timer App for Android
Not so long ago we were able to download and "try" apps purchased through the Android Market for up to 24 hours and still be able to get a refund if we didn't like them. Recently that refund window was shortened to 15 minutes, which seems too short to me.

Not only is it short, but if you forget to keep an eye on the clock you can find yourself owning an app that you just wanted to try, even if you don't like it. Now there's an application for that, too!

According to the developer, "Refund Timer shows you (a) countdown timer with (the) remaining refund time period for the applications purchased in the Market."

The way it does that is a little complicated. Rather than go by the time that the download starts (or finishes), the application parses your "receipt" email to determine the exact moment of purchase. It then adds 15 minutes, and starts a countdown from that time which it displays as a layer on top of your screen. Even if you're inside a game, you should still be able to see how much time you have left to get a refund -- if you decide you want to exercise that option.

The developer has built in a timer of his own into the app. You can try the app for free for 72 hours, at which point it will stop working until you buy a license key (from within the app itself).
