From Sharp a clamshell Android smartphone with 3D display and 16Mpx camera

The Sharp Aquos is the world’s first Android smartphone with the clamsheel form factor, waterproof resistance, 16 megapixels camera and 3D screen.

Sharp is not new at 3D capable smartphones, in fact even before the LG Optimus 3D they released theLynx 3D that we saw at the last Mobile World Congress. Now the Japanese company returns with another 3D phone, which most probably won’t be sold out of the Japanese market where the Sharp Aquos Hybrid 007SH is going to be released in July by the carrier NTT Docomo.

The Gingerbread running smartphone has a 3.4-inch 3D display with 480×854 resolution, 1GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a massive 16Mpx camera (without 3D capture) and a front-facing camera. More specs include a 3D TV tuner, HDMI out, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, Dropbox and Qik pre-installed, and a waterproof certification, all packed in a 113×51.8×19.3 mm chassys and 140g of weight.
Would you consider buying a clamshell Android phone, or you rather think a phone keyboard with a touchscreen display is unnecessary?
